Fisheries and Oceans Canada is the lead federal government department responsible for developing and implementing policies and programs in support of Canada's economic, ecological and scientific interests in oceans and inland waters. The Fish Habitat Management Program (FHMP) comprises activities, legislative responsibilities and policies administered by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for the purpose of conserving, restoring and developing the productive capacity of habitats for the fisheries resources.
Synopsis: Following the strict Government Online (GOL) guidelines for federal departmental websites, this Intranet site is accessed by DFO Employees throughout the region. The website acts as a central repository for information and publications on all aspects of Fish Habitat Management Programs activities and services. Due to large volume of information to present, advanced multi-tiered drop down menus were employed for navigating the material.
