Fisheries and Oceans Canada is the lead federal government department responsible for developing and implementing policies and programs in support of Canada's economic, ecological and scientific interests in oceans and inland waters. The Central & Arctic Region comprises the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario and the Yukon, Nunavut, and the North West Territories.
Synopsis: Following the strict Government Online (GOL) guidelines for federal departmental websites, this Intranet site is accessed by DFO Employees throughout the region. The website acts as a central repository for information and publications on all aspects of Fisheries and Oceans Arctic and Inland waters programs and services. Due to large volume of information to present, advanced multi-tiered drop down menus were employed for navigating the material.
